What is an UnNamed Blankie?
The Blankie Honoring the UnNamed

The UnNamed Blankie honors every single child — baby, fetus, cluster of cells, human being — who was conceived but not born, for any reason.
I imagine these children have been called many unofficial names: first pregnancy, eighth pregnancy, child of one’s hopes and dreams, unwanted, mistake, accident, worst nightmare. Each of these labels comes from a story, a moment, a deeply personal experience.
Although their time on earth was short, their impact was far greater than we often realize — or sometimes, than we allow ourselves to acknowledge. Even if only one person knew they existed, that person was changed. Whether they admit it or not, a life was touched forever.
God used a baby to change the world. God still uses babies to change the world — to point us to the Baby, the one Savior, Jesus, who can save our souls.
The babies honored the month of January are in Heaven with Jesus right now. I believe they are hoping and praying for the people whose lives they touched for just a moment in time — praying that one day they will meet again, face to face, in Heaven. I can only imagine what that reunion will be like… Jesus introducing me to my babies. It’s something I long for when my time on earth is complete.
The UnNamed Blankie is for all those little ones whose names we may not know, but whose lives still mattered. It is a reminder that God has a plan, even when we don’t understand it — and that His love holds both the babies and the ones who miss them.
